Join P/PREP and Brooklyn Law School’s Center for Urban Business and Entrepreneurship (CUBE) for an evening panel discussion and reception:

The Evolving Definition of Workspace: Exploring the real estate and legal challenges faced by New York City’s incubators and accelerators

Just as technology and innovation has changed the face of New York City’s economy over the past decade, the city’s commercial real estate industry has also undergone significant changes – from the decline of large-scale manufacturing, to the proliferation of co-working spaces and adaptive reuse across the city. These evolving workspaces raise critical questions about financing, operations, and economic impact, as well as the challenges faced by operators business tenants, including entrepreneurs and start-ups.

We’ll hear from an incredible array of experts as they explore these questions:

  • Rebecca Birmingham – General Counsel and Head of Development, New Lab/Macro-Sea
  • Livia Corredor – Co-Director of Legal Affairs, Forest City Ratner Companies
  • Mark Jackson – General Counsel, Two Trees Management Company
  • Anisha Steephen – Community Development Officer, LISC
  • Joseph Tazewell – New York City Regional Director, Empire State Development Corportation
  • Mark Thomas – Senior Vice President, Partnerships, New York City Economic Development Corporation

Following the panel, make sure to stick around for a networking reception at the Forchelli Center.

This panel is presented by P/PREP and CUBE.
